What is a ‘Detroit Summer’ without a “White Party”, on a rooftop, at sunset, in downtown Detroit? On September 7, The Detroit Fashion Community hosted the final “DFC Connects” of the summer. Aspiring models, skincare executives, fashion journalists, designers, influencers, entrepreneurs and business owners mobilizing Detroit's Fashion industry joined the DFC in celebrating the end of the summer with a classic evening of networking en-blanc.

The DFC’s final monthly networking event of the Summer was held in the heart of downtown Detroit at Rehab, Detroit’s premium seafood bar and rooftop. With Detroit’s  enchanting skyline as the backdrop, classic end-of-Summer vibes from B.Colvin, and a sea of Detroit’s most fashion-forward dancing in the sunset in all white, the DFC curated the perfect end to a quintessential (fashion) summer in Detroit.

Never losing sight of the DFC’s mission and purpose of ‘DFC Connects’ which is to bring fashion professionals and enthusiasts together to form strategic partnerships and share resources, the DFC was excited to sponsor two attendees for Sewing 101, The Detroit Fashion Community's beginner sewing class led by master fashion designer Dana Keaton at the prestigious BasBlue, a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to providing space and creating community for women and non-binary individuals.

Take a look at some of our favorite moments of the evening!

The DFC would also like to thank its generous sponsors: Rehab and  B. Colvin.
