Community Spotlight: Rosco Davis– Fashion Model, Photographer & Award-Winning Filmmaker
The Detroit Fashion Community recognizes DFC member, Christian ‘Rosco’ Davis, a published Fashion Model, award-winning Filmmaker, Photographer, and mixed-media Artist from Detroit, Michigan.
Rosco The Model
Rosco is a published fashion model who has worked with some of Detroit’s most noted and beloved fashion brands like WIlliam Palmer Homme, Perspective Brand, Gina T Fashion and more! Rosco’s talent and professionalism have set him on the main stage at some of Michigan’s major fashion events including Michigan Fashion Week– a showcase that highlights Michigan’s prestigious talent in fashion design, photography, art and modeling. Over the course of his career, Rosco has appeared on screen, modeling in TV commercials and securing a modeling cameo on reality TV show, Love & Marriage Detroit. Rightfully so, Rosco was nominated for the 2022 and 2023 Detroit Fashion Choice Awards Model of the Year. Rosco is establishing himself as a fortified talent additionally stepping behind camera as a photographer. Rosco is currently under the the management of Polished Models– a training, coaching, and management agency for professional Models that provides workshops, and individual classes, as well as booking for fashions shows, corporate events, exhibitions and trade shows.

Rosco The Artist
Rosco is also a mixed media, visual artist whose tender yet striking surrealist art depicts various moments in life recognizable to a wide audience. From moments of self-reflection, to longing, admiration, anguish, or even bliss, Rosco’s art freezes life’s most surreal moments in time and translates them for emotional consumption, a fine art collector’s dream. In between several gallery showcases, earlier this year, Rosco closed his second solo art show entitled ‘Breathless’. Brilliantly, Rosco’s love for art, fashion, and film often intersect with the feature of his art in streetwear collections on graphic tees, or as set decor in films.

Rosco The Filmmaker
Rosco is an award winning filmmaker whose latest award winning film, CLOSURE, was selected as a winner at the New York International Film Festival, the San Diego Black Film Festival, the LA First Glance Film Festival, the Harlem People’s Film Festival, the North Europe International Film Festival, and the Atlantic Bridge Film Festival. In addition to writing and directing award winning films, Rosco steps in front of the camera as an actor, appearing in promotional commercials for luxury brands and businesses and other films in Detroit.
