The Detroit Fashion Community put a summer twist on their monthly networking event, hosting a Chic Neon Luau at Sandbox Outdoor Bar & Lounge In Detroit. 

The Detroit Fashion Community works hard but plays just as hard. To kick off the summer season, the DFC put a twist on their monthly ‘DFC Connects’ networking event. This month’s ‘DFC Connects’ was the catalyst to a chic summer night.

On July 5th, members of the DFC and a few fashionable friends gathered for a Chic Neon Luau. Fashion industry professionals, influencers and creatives of metro Detroit dawned tropical neon attire to meet, greet, and create summer magic at Sandbox Outdoor Bar & Lounge. The Sandbox is a summer oasis known for its Signature “SANDBOX” Pineapple, amazing 360 views, and great food located in the Bricktown District of Downtown Detroit, behind the world-renowned MIX Bricktown Bar.

Members of the DFC had fun in the sun(set) amidst the customary networking festivities and a few intense Hula Hoop competitions. Guests lounged in Cabanas, sipped on signature slushies from Sandbox’s Tiki Bar, and took full advantage of the Cornhole board and giant Connect Four station, while some models in attendance gave a preview of what to expect at the DFC’s #SweetSummerSocial with an impromptu “walk off” in the middle of the party!
